Medics Abroad is TWO!

Reading Time: 4 minutes

Speaking for every member of the team, I can honestly say it has been an exciting journey for us so far. It hasn’t always been rosy but thankfully we’ve made it through the many challenges that we have encountered. We’ve learned so much, we’ve changed somewhat (for better), and we’re definitely better, stronger and ready to take on the many more years ahead of us as a company.

Did you miss the article we published on our one year anniversary last year- “A Letter From Our Founder: Medics Abroad is ONE!”? Check it out here.

Here’s some of what we’ve achieved in year two and some of our exciting plans for the future.

Second summer elective

Our second summer clinical elective was a blast. We had medical students from the Royal College of Surgeons Bahrain and Debrecen School of Medicine. Check out some of the activities we got up to here.

New elective destination

Chalé! We added Accra Ghana to our list of exciting elective destinations and can’t wait to have you onboard on our next adventure to Ghana. Check out our website for our Ghana elective packages.

New elective schedules

We recently made all our elective packages available ALL YEAR ROUND, and not just during the summer months. Although our summer electives are the most popular elective programs, you can also now do your electives at any time of the year. Contact us to get planning.

New team members

Our team stays growing! We welcomed two Medical Information team members; both are outstanding medical students from the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland and Trinity College Dublin. They have been nothing short of amazing.

Dianabasi Williams (Trinity College Dublin)
Ola Falade (Royal College of Surgeons Ireland)

Our Founder got featured on Business Insider

Our founder, the intriguing Dr. Adanna Steinacker got featured on the prestigious Business Insider platform and we can’t be more proud. Read the interview here.

What’s to come?

  • New exciting elective destinations: we are currently working tirelessly to make more elective destinations available to our Medics. We have Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Mauritius and so much more coming really soon. We’re so excited about the progress so far and can’t wait to launch these destinations on our platform just for YOU. Stay tuned!
  • New team members: As we continuously grow, so will our team. We’re periodically on the lookout for exceptional young medics who will contribute to the growth of the company and to making our services to you even better.

That’s not all. We have a lot more in the works and we’ll update you as we go along.

Thank you!

Lastly, thank you for your support in the last two years. Thank you to every medic that has experienced our tailor-made elective packages, there’s no us without you! Thank you for trusting us!
